Member Profile
Tom practices with Meyners and Company, LLC, an eighty-five person firm in Albuquerque, NM. Tom is the principal in charge of the firm’s Litigation and Valuation Services Department.
Tom has been qualified as an expert witness in cases involving fraud, malpractice, minority shareholders, insider trading, economic damages, valuation and family law. Tom has testified in both district and federal courts throughout the state of New Mexico. Tom has been appointed a Special Master and in many instances has served as the court’s Neutral Rule 11-706 witness. Tom regularly serves as a settlement facilitator in the 2nd Judicial District in Bernalillo County and has participated in numerous reported cases.
Teaching is a passion of Tom’s and he has taught nationally on the subjects of Valuation, Economic Damages, Family Law, Forensic Accounting and Taxation. The National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts named Tom a 2005 Instructor of Exceptional Distinction.
Tom is the co-author of Divorce and Domestic Relations Litigation: Financial Advisor’s Guide, published by John Wiley and Sons, Inc.
Tom is the primary author of the AICPA’s CPA’s Guide to Family Law Services.
Tom has been a contributing editor to the Guide to Divorce Taxation and the Guide to Tax Planning for High Income Individuals, published by the Practitioners Publishing Company.
