Objectives of the FVS Team

There are six objectives representing broadly defined results the FVS Team hopes to achieve on behalf of its constituents. They reflect the highest priorities of the Team. These objectives representing themes are:

·         Member Satisfaction. Help constituents provide client services and maintain a competitive advantage through recognition, communication and support of niche practice areas.

·         Vision/Image. Define the CPA business valuation and forensic accounting and litigation services profession and educate clients and potential clients about the profession and the role of the CPA firm and the CPA practitioner to enhance its image.

·         Representation. Increase its influence in the decision making process of the AICPA and attract more of its defined constituents into the Forensic and Valuation Services Membership Section.

·         Knowledge Transfer. Educate members through the continuing professional education and changing both the CPA and accredited professional examinations and qualifications.

·         Infrastructure. Operate to raise the visibility of the business valuator, forensic accountant and litigation services practitioner both within and outside the AICPA.

·         Regulations/Standards. Establish regulations and standards which affect the CPA profession at all levels; federal, state and local, and in professional organizations.
